Personal Moral Codes: By all accounts, he doesn't have very much. He's kill count is unfathomable at this point. He will absolutely do what he needs to get done at any cost. The only somewhat grey area is his family. At one point in his life, he would even do what he needed towards his own family, though killing them was never an option. He would simply dagger them to get what he wanted. Though something that Klaus has learned is that they do have their free will, and that holding on to the things one loves will only have them leaving.

If anything though, being a father means he would do absolutely anything for his daughter. She's pretty much an anomaly, and could be used (also against him). While certain people can understand him and help him through certain anger issues, he's going to revert back to his more animalistic tendencies. (Season 5 shows flashbacks to show Klaus' spiral without his family.)
